A Little Bit About Me!

Hi I'm Keshav! a Computer Engineering student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a minor in Mathematics, graduating in Spring 2026. I genuinely enjoy the process of getting better at building software and understanding how systems work beneath the surface. My long term goal is to become the best Software Engineer I can be and to use those skills to contribute to work that feels meaningful and impactful. For me, engineering is not just about writing code, but about thinking clearly, learning from mistakes, and building things that last.

My experiences so far have naturally pushed me toward backend and systems work. Through internships and projects, I have spent a lot of time working with APIs, data, automation, and debugging real issues, which taught me how important reliability and clarity are in software. I have also learned that small details add up quickly in larger systems. How you design an interface, handle errors, or communicate with others can make a huge difference in how successful a project ends up being.

More recently, I have become especially interested in applied AI and how it can be used in practical ways. I enjoy working on things like retrieval based systems, automation, and agent style workflows when they actually make a product better for the user. I care a lot about using AI responsibly and thoughtfully, and making sure it fits naturally into a system instead of feeling forced or overly complicated.

Outside of coding, I like staying balanced. I am a second degree black belt, I play basketball and football, and I enjoy pushing myself physically just as much as mentally in the gym. I also have a creative side. I have made music, and I can cut hair, both of which taught me patience and attention to detail in a very different way than coding does. All of these experiences shape how I approach engineering, with discipline, curiosity, and pride in the quality of what I build.
